What are Closeouts??
A closeout or clearance sale is a discount sale of inventory.. It may be that a product is not selling well, or that the retailer is closing it out as the product has run its course. It doesn’t mean that there is anything wrong with the product but retailers are always bringing in new items. In the promotional product business it doesn’t mean that there is anything wrong or that the merchandise is damaged, the supplier just needs to make room for new items. If items are not kept fresh and moving along the item becomes shelf worn as everyone likes to see new products. However, when you are handing out a promotional item, who cares whether they are new or old. When you get a product that is advertising your brand, we all like to see our names on items.
Many shy away from closeouts simply due to their lack of understanding or even the “bad rap” that closeouts sometimes have. Our advice? Look at the money you are saving and you are advertising your brand. Storage becomes an issue with too much stock so it makes sense to move products and put it on closeout. Many of the items are below their original cost
The massive price cuts attract a wide variety of customers, most of whom are happy to see that they are saving money. Who doesn’t like that? Many of us look for items that are on sale or wait until they are on sale. A closeout is of a product is a special opportunity to purchase a product where the retailer is aggressively pricing a products. We at Garrett Specialties offer closeout pricing where we offer to our customers exceptions deals. Make sure you order enough as once the product is gone, it is gone. We have closeouts all year long unlike many businesses that offer closeouts in the spring and in the fall. Many of our items are technology related and it is important to move them along before they become undesirable. When you hand out a giveaway, your recipients do not know what you paid for the product. They remember you gave them something and your brand is on the item for your clients.
