blower motor help
Can someone please give me some advice. Blower motor broke, part was ordered from manufacturer and installed today. It sounds loud with a kind of deep undertone (I thought at first that machinery was running outside my home). Not so. When it cuts off it makes a noise as the fan winds down. None of this was present before the motor broke. Can you take a listen … this sound isn’t normal. If the blower is the right one for my Carrier model, it should sound the same, right?
Question from user Dry-Mycologist3847 at hvacadvice at reddit.com.
Answer:
Sounds like the blower wheel is hitting the side of the assembly. May need to be loosened and pushed back into the middle of the assembly.
