Answer:
You dont need a special air-cleaner unless you have allergies or something and even if you do, it wont do much without running the fan all the time.
The icomfort is expensive and for a 2-stage furnace with single stage a – c, a 2-stage generic thermostat will do fine at a lower cost – provided you have enough wires in the wall. the icomfort communicating stat is more beneficial on the more complex systems – like modulating furnace and variable capacity inverter a – c and heatpump.
The XC13 is better built and a better choice than 13axc – which has a poor quality cabinet – construction is and made in mexico instead of us.
What matters the most though is correct sizing – find best fit for the house.
