Giga Shanghai is Already Using Batteries From CATLs New Factory
CATL’s new Shanghai factory has already sent produced battery cells to Tesla only a few months after CATL broke ground and began construction on the new site. As per reporting by the Shanghai Observer, the CATL factory started providing Giga Shanghai with cells in November 2021. The reporting noted that the CATL plant is still ramping up. However, the factory is already at 60 per cent of its design capacity.
