i am not crazy right
i have this “extra” hole cut right out the panel, and one “extra” hole at the top next to the power. Both are pulling air in, i think the guy doing the install has no idea what he was doing. My house is full of dust more than it should be , im guessing these holes are pulling in all the garage air into my system and into my house. Am i crazy but that is not how these systems work the plans don't show ” extra” holes for pulling “extra” unfiltered air in system is carrier FSM2X2400A in vertical position with up flow.

from my understanding the blower box and coil box are sealed from outside air coming in since these HVAC systems are closed loop.
