Play Steam Games In Your Tesla
You could soon have access to Steam’s extensive library of video games from inside your Tesla.
Responding to Ride The Lightning podcast host and video game aficionado Ryan McCaffrey, CEOElon Musk says Tesla engineers are currently working to add the streaming video game service to Tesla vehicles.
As noted by Musk, making an entire library of video games work in your car is a much better solution that porting individual video games one at a time.
Billed as the "ultimate online gaming platform," Steam has a library of nearly 30,000 games with over 100 million active monthly users.
The types of games available on the service range from AAA titles like Halo and Cyberpunk 2077, to lesser known games from independent developers.
Musk provided no timeline for when Steam might be available on Tesla vehicles, but when it does it will likely be limited to those with the latest AMDRyzen processors.
The new chip provides impressive performance specs that could easily handle any game, like Cyberpunk 2077, which we have already seen being played on the Model S Plaid during the special delivery event last year.

My Take: Once FSD is solved. People will need lots of entertainment in their cars. This is good planning for the future.
