Sneak Peek at the Tesla 2022.4 Software Update
Posted On: January 26, 2022

Tesla is starting to release their first software update for the new year, version 2022.4. While we have yet to see any owners officially receive the update, Tesla hacker greentheonly, who frequently gets his hands on the latest updates just before a mass rollout, has shared a sneak peek at the release notes. According to green, the update has no major new features or enhancements, but will include something for the refresh Model S and Model X, as well as something for Japanese and Korean Tesla owners. Regenerative Braking in Autopilot. Autopilot will now use more regenerative braking at low speeds for higher efficiency and an improved driving experience, especially in stop-and-go traffic. Increased use of regenerative braking results in less brake pedal noise and smoother stops. Although not included in the actual release, it looks like a new maps update will arrive shortly after installing 2022.4.

My Take: I love the software updates as it allows your Tesla to get better and better over time.
