Looking for some input on kitchen appliances

We are in the early stages of a kitchen remodel.Trying to figure out if we could do my dream configuration: 36 gas cooktop top, and a built in double oven.Worst case, would be a 30 dual fuel range with double oven.We won't really know our options until we hire a contractor to start looking at the space and seeing what we can make work and ventilation requirements.The LG Cafe line seems like a decent mid range option all around for my worst case scenario (30 dual fuel double oven range).If I get my dream scenario, I'm thinking maybe a Blue St...[More]

Broken GE Cooktop Help

Washer Problem

Recently my washer has been having this issue where it will wash, but when it gets to the Rinse cycle, it sputters out and makes this noise that sounds like it's trying to spin but can't.It wasn't too much of a problem until the washer stopped going altogether.Now it won't go at all.I think it might be the Shift Actuator (I think that's what it's called), but I'm also worried it might be the motor.If it's relevant, almost a year ago I changed the pump intake where the hoses attach and it's been working fine since.Any help would be appreciated.Q...[More]

Need a dishwasher but I Am angry at Bosch

Less than three years old and my Bosch 500 has a bad valve and leaked everywhere and also somehow led to a fried control panel. Looking at $900 parts and labour to repair so getting a new dishwasher.I loved my Bosch and would tell everyone who would listen how great it is but I'm pissed as hell. Are LG fridges with linear compressors the only ones notorious for issues?

Currently evaluating the LRTLS2403S. Consumer Reports gives it a 5/5 for reliability and I understand top freezers to be generally more reliable than French doors/side-by-sides overall. Don't believe this one has the linear compressor.
